Captain - Twenty20 and One Day
Jake has been our Captain since 2021 and continues this year as Capt of the One Day and Twenty20 sides. 2014 - State Under 17, Player of Tournament. 2015 - State Under 19 then 3 games in Youth OD International vs Sri Lanka. 2017 - Cricket Aus XI vs Pakistan, then won Jason Gillespie Medal. 2023 - Fred Godson Medal.
2023-24 SACA Redbacks.
Jake is now a Player Life Member of GDCC.

Ben Bullimore - Cap 498
Captain - Two Day from 2025/26 season
Ben has been at Glenelg from a Junior, joined the senior ranks in 2010/11 and has progressed through the grades. Ben has now played over 150 1st Grade games, only the 8th player to achieve this feat, achieving a Player Life Membership in the process.

Our State & National Reps
Alex Carey - Cap 481
Alex has represented Australia across all formats (2018 - present) and plays domestically for South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers. He is Cap 461 (Test), Cap 223 (ODI) and Cap 89 (T20).
Alex played his first senior game for GDCC in the 2006/07 season, then joined GWS Giants (AFL) in 2010 returning in 2012/13 to GDCC. He was soon playing for SA and the rest is history!!

Nathan McSweeney - Cap 542
Nathan represented the national team in Test cricket in 2024 (Cap 467). In domestic cricket he captains South Australia and plays for Brisbane Heat in BBL. paragraph. Nathan previously represented the Queensland Bulls and Melbourne Renegades. He has now captained two successful Sheffield Shields for SA.
Nathan came to GDCC in 2021 ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Brendan Doggett - Cap 544
Brendan became Cap 472 for Australia in November 2025 and became only the 5th indigenous player to represent Australia. He came to GDCC in the 2021/22 season from Queensland to play for South Australia. Brendan won the player of the match award in the 2024-25 Sheffield Shield Final where he took 11 wickets for the match, including 6/31.

Liam Scott - Cap 536
Liam is an Australian cricketer who plays for South Australia. He came to GDCC in the 2019/20 season from NSW. He was in the 2020 Aus U19 squad, has played Shield for SA and also plays for Adelaide Strikers. Liam was named as the One-Day Cup's player of the tournament in 2024/25 and the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year in 2025/26. He became ODI cap 253 in June 2026.
